The University of Miskolc renewed a good tradition when it entered the Canadian PDAC NGEA World Competition again with the Rockers Team mixed team, alongside the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. The good tradition dates back to 2023, when the Flinstone team, consisting of ME (and TEKH Vocational College) members, won the grand prize of the competition.
The members of today's team are: Bilguun Tsenguun, Solonandrasa Anthonio Edhy Florice, Martins Uchenna Obidiegwu, Nchimenyi Sobse, Farinde Mubarak, Ben Acuna Huillca, Ali Ahmed Mohiedain, Boye Joshua Niiboi (50-50% Hungarian and Polish students, three active TEKH members). The team is mentored by Dr. Ferenc Mádai director of institute and associate professor, who was also one of the mentors of the previous winning team.
The competition concerns the development of an ore project, the databases were donated to PDAC by large companies for this purpose. What is left? Let's cheer for the team, let's get to Toronto, to the finals.
