The first General Assembly of the year was held on 19 March 2024. There is an ever-increasing interest in the work of the TEKH Vocational College, which is supported by both the number of students present at the General Assembly (30 people) and the number of applicants (17 people, including 15 foreign students). 26 students confirmed their membership, so the semester starts with 43 students, including the newly admitted ones.
In the last semester, the three most outstanding students (based on TEKH credits): Hadeer Hassan, Csilla Balassa and Mohamed A. Abdelhadi. They received a certificate of excellence from the Board, and the other members (except those who failed) became the holders of the certificate of membership.
The brief report of Prof. Dr. János Földessy professor emeritus, the president of TEKH highlighted the main events and happenings of the autumn semester of 2023/2024. The reports on the programs can be read on the online interfaces of the TEKH Vocational College (website, Facebook page).
The president welcomed the new member coming to the presidency, Dr. Szilvia Gabriella Dr. Szilágyiné Sebők research fellow.
Work is also underway to change the organizational and operational regulations of the College, an inter-working proposal was presented by Dr. Viktória Mikita associate professor, the chief financial officer of TEKH. The General Assembly will have to decide on the proposal at its next meeting.
In the next program item, the candidate members introduced themselves briefly (their CV can be found in the closed Facebook group of TEKH). Members could vote on them over the next 24 hours. All applying members were unanimously supported by the General Assembly.
Finally, the participants talked about the programs for the first semester of 2024, three events have already taken place during the semester, and two more are still planned. The teamwork that the members continuously perform in the construction of the Database of Critical and Strategic Raw Materials is given special priority. Their first summary study will be published online on March 31 in the Bányászati és Kohászati Lapok.

At the end of the General Assembly, the presidency thanked the members for their activity and wished them good work for the upcoming half-year tasks.
