In October 2024 a full day was dedicated to our international students. During this event, various topics related to opportunities, internships, and challenges were discussed.
From TEKH Vocational College Solange Fiallos Ayala participated as presenter. As part of the Team EcoGeo she presented the Minus CO2 Challenge, which focuses on innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions in that opportunity with geothermal energy. Additionally, another significant challenge highlighted was the GAEA Challenge, a multidisciplinary initiative centered on green alternatives. This competition involves a diverse team comprising students from Earth Sciences, faculty members, MBA participants, and students from the Logistics Master program, showcasing collaborative efforts across multiple fields.
The event also included a presentation about the Timrex School, which took place in June in Telkibánya, located in northwestern Hungary. Participants engaged in hands-on activities such as soil sampling and geophysical measurements, gaining practical experience in the field. Moreover, information was shared about internship opportunities with various companies, including MOL, and the RIS Program, which provides valuable industry exposure for students. These opportunities emphasize the importance of bridging academic learning with real-world applications, fostering both personal and professional growth.
